Thing is, these are the only three socks left — so, when pair them up you’ve got some deep issues.

How different my life might be … if every morning, I donned the mighty Socks of Wisdom.
The mistakes I could have avoided; the opportunities I didn’t let slip by.
The ground chili flakes I didn’t sprinkle on my dinner, so I slept without heartburn.
And the extra hours I spent with my cat in my lap, both of us warm and content. That’s wisdom, indeed.

In an attempt to balance the Universe, Edna also knit the renowned fingerless mittens of Ignorance, Zeal, and Chaos.
(Edna was stunned to later learn most people preferred donning all three simultaneously — let alone where on one’s self the third mitten was worn.)
