Mike McCabe, good-government candidate for governor of Wisconsin in 2018, gave many speeches statewide in which he lambasted the two major parties as the “scared party” and the “scary party”. He said nobody ever had any trouble figuring out which was which.

Well, one thing he got right, Biden smiles. Trump only smiles if there’s food involved…

All this labelling reminds me of a cartoon I saw a while ago (and regret not saving a copy). It had the usual comments about how the Ds and Rs have become somewhat indistinguishable, in the pay of the top 1%, etc., etc. The punchline was one character saying “Yeah, but when the Democrats do it, they know it’s wrong.”

It’s still a case of holding your nose and voting, but this time we at least have a chance of getting back to business – somewhat like it used to be – versus Jim Crow America complete with reeducation camps and a mad Emperor…

…not great, but I’ll take the former over the latter in a heartbeat.
