Some implementations of diversity are racist. If I am turned down because I am white, that is racism. The US playing catch-up; trying to level the field so we can go forward without inclusion laws. I am not against the leveling process, but there are some casualties. In many cases those “casualties” were long overdue, with so many “good-’ol-boys” and golfing buddies getting undeserved promotions into positions for which they were unqualified. But in some cases a better white candidate may lose an opportunity based on color. It also backfires on non-traditional candidates because of accusations that diversity is the only reason they are there. It’s mess with no easy answers; but to the extent possible we MUST make opportunity available to ALL.
But without context, it is absolutely true that the current inclusion laws are racist.
