    Every so often Milton Caniff would produce a strip dedicated to the men who managed to come back from the wars, and he’d usually devote a panel to the wives who were glad to have them back. Then there’d be the occasional panel dedicated to the wives of those who didn’t make it back. I thought of those strips while reading this.

    R.I.P. great uncles Joseph, Raymond, Timothy, Thomas, Stanley, William and Zachariah. Fortunately they all made it back, but Father Time eventually recruits us all.
