The top left corner panel is totally relatable. As for the bottom right corner one, the joke is on the people laughing. Landlines generally retain service in the event of mass power outages, unlike cellular devices.
I still have a landline because sometimes I set the phone down around the house and I have to ring the number with landline to listen for the ring to find darn thing.
