I always wondered why no one recognized Clark Kent’s suits and wondered what he was up to, since they all looked like the ones abandoned in those phone booths.

Nerd alert. It was established in the comics that Supes had a secret pouch inside the cape, and he’d compress his clothes [including leather shoes, wallet, and glasses] into a tiny ball and carry them with him. No explanation as to how he’d decompress them back.

Superheroes always have a secret pouch to store their “civilian” clothing, which is really made of fine silk. Sometimes it makes a little bulge in the front of the tights. :)

While Superman is off protecting the rich and powerful, his clothes will better help someone at the other end of the scale.
