A nuclear family?

Common misconception. These are cooling towers. While they are used by nuclear power plants, they are also used with non-nuclear power plants.

Cooling towers can’t have a meltdown because there’s no nuclear material in them – they just let the steam turn back to water. This comic would make sense if the characters were containment buildings which is where a meltdown could happen (thus the need for a containment building).

He/She just needs to cool down…

Love how the cooling towers always get the blame for the reactors. The towers are likely the safest component of a nuclear power plant.
