Transcript:
Luann: Dad, can I ask you something about my allowance? Dad: Sure, hon. But can you help me for a minute first? Dad: Take the calculator and add up these numbers: Dad: Food, $412, clothes, $280, insurance, $256, utilities, $175, medical $339. Dad: Now subtract the total from $1,429. What do you get? Luann: Um...minus $33. Dad: Hm. Looks like we'll have to dip into savings again... Dad: ok, sweetie. You wanted to ask me something? Luann: How much should I add for the "parenting tips" book? Dad: Y'know, it's kinda priceless.
she’ll thank you when she has to find her dinner in a dumpster.
