Transcript:
Knute: "Oh! Look what I have here - two tix for comic-con!"
Crystal: "You have tickets? It's been sold out forever"
Crystal: "Yeah. Musta bought 'em long ago. Wonder who I was gonna go with?"
Knute: "Oh, well. I'm sure it'll hit me"
Booo… I was just getting interested in the Eiffel thing. As much as I like the couple, I just don’t feel that interested by this since EVERY Knute/Crystal story goes “Knute and Crystal find common ground, despite their high school labels, by liking something obscure or quirky that they both like.” I’d rather something new. Also how calls tickets tix in real life?!
I see no evidence of Crystal ignoring Knute, or even playing hard-to-get here.He says he’s got tickets; she responds with interest. He notices, and teases her. She bops him.He knew she would.True romance, age 16.Works for me!
Crystal is looking really good today; I hope she knocks some sense into that boorish Knute! If Greg can handle the SDCC crush, I guess his characters should be able to show up there, too!
Bristle side up or down? Can we give Greg Evans some benefit of the doubt that he knows what he’s doing? This is a daily comic strip, not The Collected Works of Shakespeare being put in a folio edition.
Knute would be disappointed if he did not get a reaction from Crystal. They really have a thing for each other – could ignite a real fire. Oh wait, that’s where Brad fits into this arc.
Ah, good, like the Knute and Crystal story lines. The Ann Eiffel storyline needs to stew a bit anyway, outrageous treachery needs some time to ferment. Or at least to try to gain Brad’s trust, build his expectations, or try to seduce him, whatever the case may be…
OK, so that settles the question of where Pitts is located. No way can Knute afford plane tixx, ergo Pitts is in southern California, or at least within driving distance of San Diego. And yes, Greg, we see how you’re sneaking in promos for Comic-con in the story line. I guess some other strips will do the same.
Greg is going to Comic Con, and it is in San Diego. .So do we now have to place Pitsville in So. Cal? .I doubt he would be inviting her to San Diego if Pitsville was in Ohio. That would be close to running off together.
Great teasing from Knute with a playful response from Crystal. I didn’t imagine she was the type to attend Comic-Con. So, does this mean Pittstown is somewhere in California? I doubt Crystal and Knute’s parents would allow their teenage aged children attend some out-of-state convention with each other (without a chaperone).
I would like Luann to be able to follow multiple story lines and expand into two lines of character stories. What do you think? Losing the connection to Brad and his lover – Toni, new job vs. Eiffel, etc always bums me out. I’d like a strip called BRAD.
I have friends who attend it (many from PHX frequent San Diego). I attended a demonstration that took place outside a local event of the same gendre. Ours was outdoors and I took my friend, Cuddles Cockatoo. We greated many of the people and she loved interacting.

I wonder if anyone has gone to one of those as a head-wound patient with brain damage?
rayannina over 13 years ago
I wonder if she actually wants to go to Comic-Con, or just wants to be asked …

Does this mean Knute is getting the brush-off?

So much for the Brad story. I guess it’s time to reintroduce Elvis/Elwood…he’s always at the Comic-con. What’s Gunther up to lately?

Isn’t Comic-Con in San Diego?

I think Greg just set a record for leaving a storyline, but is his genius, he jumped to one that is so rich in possibilities. Bravo!

I go to Heroes Con, in Charlotte. One thing I can definitely attest to, there are a lot more young hotties there than there were back in the 80s.

Does Tiff or Luann ever wear their hair up (like in a pony tail)?

Yay! Knute and Crystal! I’ve missed them too…we’ve been wrapped up in Brad and Toni for so long that we haven’t seen the usual characters around.

I’m surprised that some see conflict here. They are flirting. She will not hurt him.

Crystal is hot. Knute needs to man up and get busy. They’ll probably go in costume, her as Sheena and him as Ziggy.
