Tiffany: "I am SO torn up that Quill is gone!!" Crystal: "I know! NOW who can you flirt with to annoy Luann?" Tiffany: "Hey, I adore Quill! And he was starting to adore me!" Crystal: "He was? I totally missed that" Tiffany: "Doesn't matter. It's over now. All in the past..." Crystal: "What happened to "he'll call me the minute he lands"?" Tiffany: "That was to annoy Luann" Crystal: "Pardon? You're mumbling..."

Annoying Luann is a bigger thrill for Tiff than actually getting a guy to like her.
Ottodesu over 12 years ago
I managed to say two days ago that I may have it wrong with Tiff being available to all the boys without particular discretion, and I am still reconsidering my opinion.

The Quill is Gone…………the Quill has gone away
JimT8 over 12 years ago
So, she really does things just to be obnoxious. Lovable, isn’t she?

Whay do the “popular” “pretty” girls always need to put someone else down to make themselves feel better?
homfencing over 12 years ago
As we would say in fencing…attack, Tiffany…parry/riposte, touch to Crystal!
TiffWHO over 12 years ago
One could almost feel sorry for Tiff, except much like a Vulcan she wouldn’t know what to do with a warm, genuine, human emotion.
xvanta43562 over 12 years ago
Oh yes, because Quill was ‘so close’ to adoring her. And kissing Luann at the same time.
Sisyphos over 12 years ago
So, the truth comes out, even if only in a sotto voce mumble. Good for Crystal for being able to get the Tiffster to ’fess up!

Tiff crying? That’s one for the books.
wiselad over 12 years ago
she shows too much interest in what is going on with Luann, someone is liable to say “Tiff LIKES Luann”
……………………………..
is sad about Tiif……… she dreams that by putting makeup and being a “lil slutty” she is like “Honey for the Bees”, but by the “quality of most of those she draws interest from”, it feels more like a “spoiled food” that draws flies
barbarasbrute over 12 years ago
She’s definitely not the type you want to bring home to meet your Mom. Heck, Toni barely was.

Hey, Tiff – don’t fret it’s just the school of hard knocks… uh maybe it’s just getting you ready for the attentions of Leslie Knox.

funny and sad that Tiffany is jealous of Luann.

Lets See Now:
Tiffany is an ANNOYING, CLUELESS, Sexy-AIRHEAD that does things just to Tick-Off Luann.
Okay we GOT it.
The GOOD News is, with Quill gone and nobody left but Knute and Ox, Gunther is suddenly the HOTTEST Commodity at Pitts High School.….., that we NOW Know of…..,

Poor boo-boo. Ya right. PFFFFFT to you

Quill was starting to adore Tiff? Yeah, right! Maybe in her dreams and in his nightmares, he was.
luannfan over 12 years ago
Can what Tiffany does be considered bullying?
Chuck373 over 12 years ago
So unless Luann starts looking again, Elwood might start putting on pressure, and the expense of Juilliard is a drop in the bucket for him.
Chuck373 over 12 years ago
I wonder if there’s some underhanded activity going on here. Elwood saw Quill as a threat. What’s to say he was not somehow connected to the company Quill’s dad worked for? Now with Gunther dating Rosa, Elwood has a clear playing field.
jppjr over 12 years ago
Sooo…the Tiffster does have a heart after all? Like String Bean on the old Hee Haw show when he got a letter from home…kept it next to his heart…and reached in his back pants pocket and pulled it out…
Chuck373 over 12 years ago
I just realized that Gunther was not at the “Quill Goodbye” announcement. I hope he doesn’t make a play for Luann again and blow his stuttering relationship with Rosa.

Wow.Been sitting at WW so long them red cups turned pale orange.
sunsohot over 12 years ago
I’m guessing that since Tiff and Crystal are at WW, the next arc my have us catching up with TJ and Ann…?

I’m not too keen on Tiff, but she DOES have nice cleavage…

Said by yours truly 2 days ago. " When she can’t keep up the charade, Tiff may actually break out in tears. After all, what a let down that he left without a personal goodbye."
Kymberleigh over 12 years ago
Nice sarcasm by Crystal in today’s strip. Wonder if maybe her friendship with Tiffany is going to crumble next?
porkerroy over 12 years ago
Why did Crystal’s lips turn from purple to red to purple again?
JimT8 over 12 years ago
I don’t really see any point to today’s strip, other than as filler.,Really? It shows that Tiffany can express real feelings, including shame about lying.

“so? you imply potential character growth, which factor Greg repeatedly kills. Like Scarlet at the end of Gone With The Wind “Tomorrow’s another day!””.Like the disappointed end-of-the-worlders in a Beyond the Fringe skit, I think we are bound to get a winner one day!.BTW, it was Rhett Butler who said that, not Scarlet, if memory serves me.

When Tiffany displayed no shock or distress over the news that Quill was leaving, I was ready to write her off as another 2 dimensional ‘Anne Eiffel’ type. It’s nice to see Mr. Evans eventually realized his error writing Tiff and shows her human side. Her admitting she lied to annoy Luann shows how much she values Crystal’s friendship. Crystal on the other hand shows the sensitivity of stone, and would rather kick Tiff while she is down than love her even with her faults. Her behavior is no different than Quill and Luanns’ at the pool, and in the end, it’s unlikely Crystal is much of a friend after all.

Aaron is gone, for good, I hope. He was never right for Luann. He was the perfect boy for Tiff. Pretty, self-absorbed, not too bright. I wouldn’t wish him on anyone except Tiff.
bronzeskater over 12 years ago
JimT8 and Mojitobaby,
Tiffany would never be ashamed—anything she does is automatically wonderful—anything "wrong " is obviously someone else’s fault. However, she is embarrassed at being caught. She never really thought Quill was beginning to fall for her or that he was going to call her for a special goodby. Her pride is hurt, she’s not having a moral attack. After all, she sees no wrong in annoying Luann—Luann deserves it for not worshiping her.
JimT8 over 12 years ago
Right. I already stand corrected on this.
marvee over 12 years ago
So Tiff isn’t completely delusional.
marshlc over 12 years ago
OK, wait just a dang minute here. When Luann does things just to annoy Tiffany, everybody here chuckles at how cute and clever she’s being. I’ve been reading this strip fairly steadily for about ten years, and on balance Luann is a heckuva lot meaner to Tiffany than Tiffany is to Luann – tell me again why T is the bad guy?

“Also, girls dress to impress other girls more so than to impress boys.”
“So that’s why they look annoyed when you stare at their obviously displayed cleavage?”-Generally speaking, a goodly number will look annoyed no matter what you do or don’t do. Although, still generally speaking, most don’t complain if I look admiringly and nod my head in approval. They still tend to pout if I ignore and that’s despite my personal lack of attractiveness.
JimT8 over 12 years ago
My only claim is that in the last panel yesterday, Tiffany displayed momentary shame. I gave reasons, which you have not responded to, nor did you respond, I think, to my previous response to your long-previous alternate reading of what she was expressing. You want to appeal to longstanding evidence of Tiffany’s character. I do not dispute the past facts, but I reject their relevance to the present case. Today’s change of mood is not relevant either.
