her credit is right at end of movie(assistant of the assistant of the assistant of the last stand-in) in very small letters(2 points in size)
Mordock999 over 12 years ago
Ah. The “Malignant Munchkin” is back.Guess it won’t be long before he breaks the news to Tiff that NONE of Her scene are IN His Tawdry film.
On the other hand I wonder the little cockroach is gonna finally come clean about the cheapo engagement ring he bought Luann a few years back?

Do stand in get credits for standing in?
DaJellyBelly over 12 years ago
I really like Crystal! She is the most level headed person out of this bunch of characters.
DaJellyBelly over 12 years ago
Tiffany’s credit = Toilet Matron at Rikers Island! LOL

I’ve already seen enough of the return of that imp, Elwood! Make him go away! —With or without Tiffany!

And Tiffany’s one hour, seven minutes and 14 seconds are up.

Killing off Tiff? It would be a gutsy move for Greg.
sarge112751 over 12 years ago
Yeah – no Tiff, no comedic foil ! — She’s so shallow, she could drown in an empty Tea-cup !
Tinyman over 12 years ago
OK her we go. I was wondering whatever happened to the audition. Tiff is most likely the 5th or 6th stand in to the stan in.
Chuck373 over 12 years ago
Is Tiff actually IN the movie? Is she even in the credits? Even the “Best Boy” gets in the credits. And all he does is “go-for” work.

Elwood’s put on a few pounds, it looks like.

Ugh, Elwood is my 2nd least favorite character of this strip. Tiffany still gets 1st prize however.

A lot of you called this.

Anyone else see an Elwood “growth” spurt coming up? He is after all a teenager :-)
imbaldeagle over 12 years ago
I still think Tiffany should experience Leslie Knox with the intense pursuit he used on Rosa. Can’t help but wonder how Tiff would react – delight? disgust? ambivalence? And what would Crystal have to say? Seems like an interesting one-week sequence, about like Crystal and Knute on occasion.

Elwood? Still El short. Don’t get your hopes UP.

Have you forgotten that she won the title of Miss Chamber of Commerce? Of course, she was stripped of that title after she got busted for participating in one of TJ’s scams, but she still won it!

What, no “best girl”?
yangeldf over 12 years ago
Ugh, I’d hate to sound like Sam from Danny Phantom, but I can stand in a puddle of this girl and not get my feet wet.

Great arc! The funniest characters, who can’t help tripping over themselves.

Crystal needs more stability in her life. Hook her up with Gunther.
Gerry Lee over 12 years ago
It’s great that Tiff isn’t only about boys, but has a real interest in her career too. That’s very healthy. Crystal wouldn’t be getting whiplash if she’d stop judging Tiff and would just be her friend for real.
Popeyesforearm over 12 years ago
she’ll be starring on the cutting room floor.
sunsohot over 12 years ago
But Luann does think about people’s feelings.
Linda Solomon over 12 years ago
Tiffany is boring, not to mention ignorantly conceited…
hippogriff over 12 years ago
Lance: Hardly. We lost one of the best singing voice dubbers in the business because the studios refused to give her credit. In France, the credit is the same size as the costars and come right after the credits for those they are dubbing (before the costars if only the stars are being dubbed). Best Boy is union and therefore has bargaining power. I hate to think what some would have sounded like without Marnie Nixon. Audrey Hepburn was good in Wouldn’t be Loverly (after all, she sang Moon River by herself), totally lacked the fire required for Show Me.

Who the hell is Greg Davis?

Ya Know WHAT, Dave?
Our Lovely Lu manages to say THAT very thing, in some form or another when just about ANY guy shows an interest in her.
….whether she LIKES him or NOT…

IS TJ in the mafia?
David Huie Green LoveJoyAndPeace over 12 years ago
I imagine a best boy could be a best girl if he were a girl or if she were a girl. On the other hand, feminists a few years back were highly offended by being called “girls” around the same time others had decided they didn’t really appreciate being called “boy”. Life is SO hard on us sensitive types, trying to find inoffensive words and failing no matter what we do because SOME group will be offended with whatever we choose.-This is why we create euphemisms. It takes a little while for the perpetually offended to realize they are supposed to be offended by the euphemism too. In the mean time, we can talk — after a manner.-I was watching the final episode of EUREKA last night and Sheriff Carter asked, “Aren’t you the dog catcher”-To which the dog catcher responded, “I am the biological specimen containment specialist.” or something like that.-That was a fun show.

So I guess she’s not allowed to feel sad, and then be cheered up by good news? If it was Luann being excited about taking part in a film instead of Tiffany, would you people be reacting the same way?
Ginispics over 12 years ago
I think her joy will be short lived though…remember she really only got to be a go-fer, and had a verrry small part as a stand-in for a double…or some such thing…that is going to be raw…even for Tif…
mojitobaby over 12 years ago
Yeah, he “won” that, too!
JimT8 over 12 years ago
Yesterday… in the last panel, Tiff whispered to Crystal so she would not be overheard..That’s what you think, do you? Mojitobaby will be interested inn this interpretation, I think.

Rosa could take Knute...All bad choices, Leviticus, but Rosa, with several languages and other smarts, is never going to go there. BTW, a commentator on another gocomics strip complained that Rosa was a stereotyped Latina, which was a very surprising thought about someone who is not typical of anything.
JimT8 over 12 years ago
.No objection.
perrimac over 12 years ago
Crystal, Delta, and Bernice as pretty level-headed, but Tiffany doesn’t have a clue what a friend she has in Crystal, while I think Luann knows how lucky she is to have both Bernice and Delta.

Mojitobaby: I don’t recall any play called “Show Me” either. With something that familiar, I presumed the readers would know the musical (the play was called Pygmalion and was by GB Shaw). Apparently either you didn’t know, or were trying to troll me, neither one a suitable use of posting space.
Dave53: “Show Me” has also been shown and there is no fire. It is an angry song. “I Could Have Danced All Night” is another in which Hepburn did a credible job. Those three are the only ones I have heard.
mojitobaby over 12 years ago
Ow, no. While I adore Hepburn, listening to her do a Cockhey accent for a large part of the film was positively painful – and hearing her try to do it in song was worse. I grew up listening to Julie Andrews, who created the role, in the Broadway cast recording, so I consider it an act of mercy that the producers didn’t let her wail warble her way through the film. “Luverly” doesn’t call for much in the way of range, but the rest of the numbers do. .They didn’t have to dub Rex Harrison – although he couldn’t sing, the original musical was built around his ability to use sprechstimme, or talking on pitch. And, of course, he had no trouble with an upper-class British accent..I have three favorites: Sabrina, A Nun’s Story and How To Steal A Million (and not just because it centers around art forgery and a heist).
