I read this comics page occasionally, and one of the things I’ve noticed are the level and intensity of the comments. You folks know this is a comic strip, right? I mean these characters are not real. They live only in the mind of the strip creator. You understand that, right? Commenting (as one of the “PRO” members does,to the tune of 15,579 comments over a 16 month period, which roughly equates to 31 comments a day) on the make believe lives of these characters begs the question: Do you have a real life of your own? Does your daily life consist of sitting at a keyboard and offering opinions on who every character is and what they may or may not be doing/feeling/meaning?And if it does, how very sad. Do something productive. Volunteer at a food bank or a hospital or a school.Campaign against domestic violence or child abuse or work for MADD. Coach a little league team. Hell, be a greeter at Wal-Mart for that matter. If you wake in the morning and the best part of your day is commenting on what Luann and her cast of imaginary characters are doing/wearing/thinking, what an exciting life you must lead.
