Mothers sure want to know if their children (even if they’re adults) are safe.

Many real moms are feeling the same thing as Nancy tonight.

It looks like Nancy’s in charge of the worrying.

Shouldn’t the wedding planner be making all the preparations? What did they pay her for?

Comic strip time dilation strikes again~!!

Before the cell phone comments flood in again, yes firefighters do check in with their loved ones while taking a break. If they went nonstop they’d drop dead of exhaustion before the fire was out. Sometimes, in fact, they get ORDERED to take breaks. It’s much safer that way.

I think TJ fired the wedding planner.

Nancy’s worried face reminds us we were promised some drama…

Wasn’t there some news about some drama going on with the BRAT wedding? Where is that drama?

Lately Brad looked as if he’d stopped working out… a wildfire should be a really good workout though

The fire will burn longer than expected and the wedding will be moved to the fire site instead of a church and it will end happily.

The wedding isn’t until the 11th of December. They’re going to be out there for two and a half weeks??

I am still confused about the wedding venue. Is it the cottages place that TJ bargained for the seating and linen upgrade packages? Maybe the fire will spread and burn that place down and then Broroni can have the wedding at the fuse. Since TJ is doing the catering anyway, that would be more convenient . I like this arc and I really want to see what Team Evans has in store for us.

I hope Nancy’s face is not a harbinger of tragedy to come. After all, why even have a fire arc unless something bad is going to happen…. One of them is going to be hurt (prediction).

I fear for Toni and Brad. Or, maybe, as I suggested some days ago, Firefighter Big Mouth will buy the farm in a sudden flare-over….

This is so weird. Just the other day I told my child that she will always be may “baby” no matter how old she is. Flash backs of my mom….whoa. But a good whoa.

Oh LOOK! ALL of Frank’s carefully stapled drywall has now apparently fallen to the floor. Either that or Old Les has just “Liberated” them….., ;]

Hey, folks, this comic strip is usually far, far closer to typical life than to sensationalistic tv dramas. When Greg said “trauma” and when he said “drama” think of the levels of things gone wrong, or worries, or complications, or even guesses about which you have hopes in your own life which would cause you to use those two words, not what woukd cause them to be used by Chanel on “Scream Queens”, please.

Mom worries of course, that is what moms ALWAYS do even if they are 100 and the kid is 80. Dads do too but momma more. In terms of drama,plenty, but I think it will be okay. Everybody and everything will come together at just the right time, and I am looking forward to that panel when Toni and Brad kiss after taking the vows.

if someone gets hurt, I’m gonna flip a table. This year has already sucked massive donkey nards, I don’t need drama in my comics.

That’s some scary foreshadowing right there. Someone is getting hurt or worse, I can just feel it. Kind of a nail biter, this story arc.

Ah, I can see it now. The beautiful Toni going down the aisle, with a pervasive smell of smoke coming from her beautiful, long hair.

On long trips I used to assign each person in the car a subject to worry about. They werenʻt allowed to stray onto other subjects or trade with anyone else in the car. That kept everyone quiet or at the very least talking about something besides worrying. House never burnt down or anything. (We sometimes did have to stop to pickup a toothbrush or hair spray)

Returning the day before the wedding? Something dark may be looming on the cartoon horizon, story-wise. I worry for Toni.

So, my money is still on Big Laughing Mouth Guy. It would make for a much more interesting story if they end up going to a funeral on their wedding day (post-poned, hopefully). Unless, of course, Chekhov’s Gun turns out to be a Red Herring. That would be weak. If I recall, the only dangerous thing to occur to them while firefighting was Toni falling off a ladder onto Brad.

Now I am “worried” that Toni will suffer a broken leg, which means i will have to dine on frozen crow.

And why is Nancy in shock? Is it a mother worried about her son and Toni, or is she overwhelmed by the renovation project?
