AHHHH…Punk has Les hooked! Love at the first sight! However, I don’t care much for Gunther’s name choices for the rest of the kittens. Punk is perfect for LES’s cat.

“Punk!” Of course! Just in case anyone missed the parallels between Les and the little kitten that’s been “acting out!”

Les may become a cat guy yet…

And so the “Humanization of Les Knox,” begins. And all it took was a Grey Kitty. I just got this vision of Les as a grey haired old man, sitting in a rocking chair. Blanket covering his legs. Teeth in a jar on a nearby table. And a cat purring on his lap. Sitting by a roaring fireplace, and looking out the window and watching the snow cover the countryside. A tear stains his cheek as holds a framed picture of his beloved dear departed wife Tif..…,

I was pretty sure a kitten was going to get to Les. Looks like i was right.

I do hope the boys figured out each kitten’s gender before naming it. I don’t care what anyone says, “Silas” would be a terrible name for a girl kitty!

Hmmm. Perhaps Al might be carrying two more baskets of cats. Might be the head and paw of a black cat sticking out of the basket on the left.

Punk has grown on Les !

Well, this story arc is wheezing to a conclusion, and we won’t see or hear from Gunth or Les for awhile!!!

So it begins….

I see nothing in this strip to prove that Les named only one of the kittens. Just sayin’.

I named one of my ferals Kabuki (Boo for short) because he’s got a white face. A matching pair who seem to have found homes somewhere are McDonnell and Douglas, because they were both jet black.

My daughter maintains cats harbor a parasite which they use to infect cat haters with a new found love for cats. I’ve seen it in action, and here it is again!

“… You gotta ask yourself one question! Do ya feel LUCKY?! … Well, do ya, PUNK??!!”

‘Punk’: “Why, yes! I’m napping nicely on knee (of Les)!!”

I’m lost! There was never an orange kitten, or one named ‘Pumpkin’, and the big orange one is named MO. What am I missing?

I have been predicting that Les would be humanized by the kitten gambit (Al and Irma are really smart with their “kids”) and the grey (it was orange at Arcamx, orange once maybe here, but I think it was meant to be a gray cat all along, Moe is the orange-ish one) so now he considers it his cat, with a perfectly positioned name, Punk. Love it. I have noted that characters with rough edges who become regular parts of Luannverse have those edges shaved down a bit simply being around the people in Luannverse. It is essentially a positive world, and posivity affects even a Les type. Now his mom? That is a different ball of thread to be batted around.

Al and Irma get to name their cats. Les and Gunther can call them whatever nickname they chose, but they don’t get to name someone else’s pets.

Personally, my cat Laptop read this story line, laughed at Gunther and Les and gave the both of them the middle claw.

I must commend Greg for one thing – there are four people in the picture and not one cell phone. Unfortunately, yesterday I wound up on a lunch time collision course with a first year college student. Reminiscent of the old Star Trek days, I think the Borg by way of her cell phone, had assimilated her and “resistance was futile.” Is this the future of humankind, cyber-zombies and cell phone slaves?

Les it;s not always about you.

Now the kittens will need name tags.

We know Punk is grey. Which colors are Silas, Skeet, and BB?

Okay, Karen and Greg, you simply MUST go back to the shelter and get the orange kitty. Or at least let us know what happened to it. We’re all dying over here.

Irma is on cloud nine, she’s so elated that her boys have gotten so attached to the kittens they named them.

I think it time to see Jack and Luann together again and see them on a date.

Les has become protective of Punk, a good sign.

Arrrgh! The boys are bonding! HELP! Spare us from this kittymania!

Okay, we’ve had the camping trip that wasn’t, and now, “My momma runs a cathouse.” Both just fine, but a tad low key. Is this the new theme, or are we about to catapult into an arc of epic adventure and teeth grinding intensity? Will Bets have a sleepover with Gunther? Will Rosa return from Peru, with or without Gunther’s little daughter? Will Toni and Brad become expecting parents? Will Greg allow Tiffany a little love and happiness? Will the FBI raid Al and Irma’s house?

Figures Les would warm to one.
