I recall Mrs. Horner being a lot more decrepit than this. But it does raise an interesting point. Since the mythical “D. Cover;y” appeared to have a head of white hair on the book’s back cover. It lends credit to the idea that Mrs. Horner is D. Coverly, perhaps her maiden name. But seriously an author at 83 who had moved into an assisted living residence….?
