I think that today, We have confirmation that Luann stayed at Kidz First entirely too long.

Paper Puppet Shows are for six year olds, not brooding young adult males.
I can’t think of a single young adult male in this Strip, who would appreciate something like that except maybe Les.
Who’d say “Gee Thanks,” and quickly move on to something else while embracing the Wrong Idea.
OTOH, Luann is going to make a great mom some day.
