Gary: As we work today, I want us to imagine that we're members of an orchestra! I'm the conductor, and you're each musicians - "If we each play our parts well, we can make beautiful music!" Clare, Where are you going? Remember? We're members of an orchestra! Clare: My part has a lot of rests.
Reminds me of an old joke my HS band director told. Person dies and joins the Heavenly Orchestra playing cymbals. Had a three hundred year rest. Two hundred, two hundred fifty years went by, two seventy-five, he raises his cymbals. Then, a huge hand points to him and a thunderous voice intones, “DONT’T RUSH.”
