The first year those damn things came out I nearly rear ended a minivan doing that.

I got interested in the movie the kids were watching on their overhead screen in the vehicle in front of mine.

Whatever happened to looking at the countryside or even people in the street? Or playing “I spy” or counting cars of a specific type or just reading a book?

Boy, do I sound like a fossil!

Seem to remember a driver that almost had an accident from looking at the screen in another car. The driver was watching an x-rate.

A friend of mine was rear ended twice, within one month, both times by idiots texting on their damn phones. His insurance company totaled out his first car, and repaired the second. As if that wasn’t enough, a few weeks later he saw a car where everybody in the vehicle was watching movies on their phones, including the driver. He pulled to the side of the road for a few minutes to give them chance to get to some other area before continuing. It makes me glad I don’t have to be on the roads as much as he does.

There’s a commonly seen acronym for people who persistently text or watch a screen while driving. It’s RIP
