My daughter has a lot of them from her childhood days that were stored away in our basement. About 10 years ago we had record rains which caused record flooding – the kind that apparently happen every 100 years. My basement, which NEVER floods, got a few inches. Once the dust settled we came across her collection and while most were ok, a few that were later discovered were worth some serious money got ruined. Who’d have thought?
I’m so thankful I never got caught up in that particular craze. It’s funny how so many of them ended up in thrift shops, selling for maybe a dollar or two.

Yes? No? Which would you prefer?
The answer’s pretty much the same either way.

Yep, along with the pet rocks. (my pet rock collection is worth a small fortune.)

Mom threw out my collection of 1930 and 1940 comic books but kept my report card. She hadn’t a clue and I hadn’t a tear left when she told me.
