I come from… oh, forget it.

I come from Alabama with a banjo on my knee.

I come from trading-stamps.

At one point clipping coupons meant one was cashing in the dividend coupons from one’s stock portfolio. After the crash, S&H Green Stamps were a better deal.

I don’t do coupons. I have enough CVS coupons, which, if laid end to end, would circumnavigate the globe 16 times – all of them expired.

I want to be the guy who provides CVS with their rolls of register tapes. I imagine a good part of the Amazon basin was deforested to provide them.

my parents smoked Raliegh cigarettes and there was a coupon on the back of each packet and a bonus of 4 coupons if you bought the carton. They had a catalog that you could pick items from to redeem the coupons.

He looks to young to have had parents who went through the depression.

I liked it when Chipotle would mail out a free burrito coupon, haven’t seen one since like 2018.

My kids could say that. Their mom was the coupon queen. One outing ended up with $400+ worth of groceries and they paid us $25.

Can’t do that today… They caught on to us.

I knew a guy who came from money. His primary back story in the getting to know people phase was that his dad was wealthy. Last I knew this was still his thing at age 34. Yikes, not good.
