Must be an import. A French Poodle maybe? Or a Dachshund just in from Europe? Or perhaps a Scottie with a real brogue? Australian shepherd? Or . . . ?

Do dogs from Paris bark in French? Or do they just ‘Oui Oui’?

Our dogs never mastered speaking a human language, however, they did manage to understand it. They also had vocalizations that we understood.

If you include body language, then both sides were good at interspecies communication.

Use Google translate, of course you have to know what language it is to translate.

Neither does he. As far as I can tell, a dog barks as a challenge and an “I am here” signal.

In Quebec, that dog would be saying “Le Bark, Le Bark”
