Who is this Santa Claus I keep hearing about? My study of early Earth folklore is spotty, but I believe he was a figure associated with Christmas and giftgiving. He wore glasses and a beard, but his signature costume was a black turtleneck and jeans... He was widely celebrated for running a workshop which created marvelous devices and distributing them around the world!... And what about the elves? I don't recall. But I do vaguely remember some controversy regarding his labor practices...

and if children were really good, or if they could convince their parents they’d be social pariahs without these marvelous devices then they would wake up on christmas day to find a device, almost exactly like last years, in their i-stockings

Hmm. With a change of costume, Doc could fool a lot of believers in the old elf! Not sure a black turtleneck and jeans would do the Jobs, though….
