You get a break this year, Monty. Taxes aren’t due until the 18th.

Ummm … except for the inconvenient fact that when April 15 falls on the weekend, the deadline for filing your income tax return moves to the following Monday. And then, because this year Emancipation Day, a holiday in Washington D.C. (April 16) falls on a Sunday, the deadline is moved to Tuesday.

I bet Professor Xemit knows all that, even if Jim didn’t when he drew today’s strip …

If you suffered from the weather not till October. I perosnally didn’t get flooded by the California Rains, but by extension I can fill late as well.

Yes this Saturday is the wife’s and I, 17th anniversary. Things get taxing once in a while but we still love each other. ;^)

Massachusetts Tuesday April 18th

Not that many years ago, the Federal Income Tax deadline for filers in the Northeast would often be extended one day due to the Patriots Day celebration in Massachusetts because the IRS office receiving the mailed-in returns was in Andover.

Actually, Uncle, not until next Tuesday (as you know); but essential point taken. Monty has just entered Panic Time!
