If you cannot hold your hand on the pavement for five seconds because it’s too hot, then it’s too hot for your doggie.

Should have worn his cute little booties.

It can be. Pavement can get very hot, as we all know.

That’s what the grass is for. Just don’t leave any lawn sausages behind.

He’s walking on stilts, Mother Goose, that should have been your first clue.

My Dad worked for the airlines as a mechanic,would come home soakin’wet in summer…why? Because the tarmac would reach at least 130 degrees,THAT’S why‼️ Use your common sense,dog parents…..

In places where it’s hot most of the year, doggos and kiddos both adapt. I went barefoot most of the summer in the low desert where I grew up. Our dogs were out every day by their own choice. You really do build up a tolerance.

I recall a friend who was visiting from elsewhere watching me walk up and down the hot sidewalk. Finally, he blurted out “Could you at least walk on the grass?” I stopped, standing on the hot pavement, and said “Huh? Why?”

It was that Stilton cheese that you fed him which caused this.

the clueless young couple that lives around the corner has a couple clueless kids and a tiny papillon that they walk occasionally and when they do opt to walk it, it’s across their asphalt-covered property and then down the asphalt road and concrete pavement at the hottest time of the day. the poor dog’s tongue drags on the sidewalk…
