Meeting your idols or heroes can be iffy at best. I managed to annoy my favorite author with the first question I asked him. Not a pleasant moment. On the other hand, cordial and pleasant, even warm encounters with Joanne Woodward , Stephen KIng, and Richard Dreyfuss. And if you happen to stop at a red light and see Jane Fonda driving the car next to you… and if you go slack jawed… and she notices you… she waves and flashes the brightest most wonderful smile. Then the light changes.
