Ah, the good old days. If the TV is on the blink, and you can’t find your skate key, go play in the coal bin and then jump in the rain barrel.

Something that the youngsters won’t ever see in their lives: static on a TV. Most TVs these days will just “blue screen” rather than display static. (I said “most”; not ALL) ;-)

Remember running outside to "twist the antenna mast for reception, (while someone in the house would yell “good! -hold it!”-“Right there!”)

Growing up, my brother and I had a 19" B&W TV in our bedroom. Occasionally, the picture would not go away, but get very dark. A couple of whacks on the side of the TV usually fixed this problem. ’60’s technology. Gotta love it!

Why do they have all those little tv screens in the suit store? :-)

1-Networks don’t even bother putting on good programming these days. They know we’ll watch anything they broadcast. 2-3,4,5: In fact, some of the stuff they show is almost…hypnotic. 3-(6): Such silly thoughts I have. Big corporations would never do anything to hurt the public. Man I wish I had a Pall Mall right now. And a Pabst Blue Ribbon. Ahhh! Where’d that come from? 4-(7): Must buy Pall Malls and Pabst…Must buy Pall Malls and Pabst…

This pattern comes with a serge protector!

Our antenna was at the window in the living room….we didn’t have a/c…..so when the reception wasn’t all that good….pop the screen and rotate the antenna.

Aw, the classic days of analog TV. Made you wish digital TV never existed.

Back in the “good old days,” when the television “remote” was usually your youngest sibling.

So true! I drilled a hole across the mast pole and inserted a steel rod so you would have a “T” handle to rotate pole easily!
