I always tell people who are getting restraining orders against former other halves, get a horse, they’re better than men. You always know where they are, when you want to go out, they’re ready, no one thinks whips, leather, chains and spurs are kinky, and when you ride a horse, he goes until you tell him to stop, at your speed.

    Not terribly uncommon:

“On any given weekend at any given catshow there is one question that almost every blue British Shorthair, Chartreux, Korat, or Russian Blue exhibitor is sure to hear….. …..”Is that a (insert name of one of the aforementioned breeds that the exhibitor is NOT showing)?”

It’s not the fault of the spectator. Very often they’ve only seen photographs of any purebred cat, much less seen examples in the flesh of any of these blue cats. Add to that the fact that the latter 3 breeds are minority breeds and it’s no wonder that people aren’t quite sure what cat that they’re looking at!”

surfstuff55 – huh? you post the answer before the question comes up? Interesting ….

While I thought today’s strip was cute, I must say, I enjoy my dog, but if the building were burning, I’d save my wife and children first …. and for anyone who thinks an animal can replace a man or a woman, well, let’s just say you’re barking up the wrong tree…. :)

How true! I wish I could have a dog. Much better than a wife when it comes to true love.

“You know my girl just called me up, And she woke me from my sleep, You should have heard the things she said, You know she hurt my feelings deep. (chorus) I’m going to buy me a dog! ‘Cause I need a friend now. I’m going to buy me a dog, Because my girl, my girl no longer knows how!” —Monkees

I remember that whole song; a relic from my youth. Amazing (or pitiful).

My hunch is that it’s something to do with going off of Daylight Savings Time.

Either that, or yet another glitch in the GoComics servers.

A pet can be the best love that money can buy. Does it replace human love? Not a chance, but at the same time the incidence of divorce is very low.

Cat on my lap, dachshund by my side, wife at the end of the couch, is it a matter of love or body heat on a cold day? A spouse WILL typically outlive a pet, unless you believe in accidents rather than divorce.

It still amazes me by the number of people that prefer animals to human companionship. The ones that seem the most attached to the pets often still have a spouse somewhere in the picture?

If the pet is so much better why not unload the spouse? They complain yet they do nothing to change it? Very amusing………..

Any two make a pair… Hope for compatibility is fair… When a dog is the one… Look for activity and fun… If a cat is your choice… Your more likely to voice… A desire for complacency… And a sedentary sort of way… But as neither choice is wrong… “Can’t we all just get along?”…

Alright, all you macho, “cats are chinese fast food or for tire treads” types. here’s something you can try: have a laid-back cool, fluffy, fat cat perched on your car’s front seat when you stop by to visit a known female hangout. INSTANT babe-magnet. they love the aloof fuzzy cutesy kitty, 5 to 1 against the yapping four-legged tongue. and cats won’t want to join you and her in bed, or give that big round-eyed what ARE you two doing look. lock the door, turn down the lights and get … uh, you got it.

RadioTom, surfstuff55 was responding to another post (that has since been removed) where someone was whining about wanting the “Little Orphan Annie” comic strip to return. “Annie”, of course, is NOT going to return because it just isn’t being produced anymore.
