By the end of the day someone will be blaming this on global warming.

So, with the increase in the over 45 women, does this account for Global Warming?

When read this strip, I said, here’s a Non Sequitor that they can’t politicize. You guys are much more creative than I gave you credit for.

Not everyone born in Maine talks like a backwoods hick. Most of the people I know that live up here don’t talk like grandma does. It’s actually REALLY rare, and usually from older people. And I’ve yet to talk to anyone that says ‘a-yup’. Although I’ll say it on occasion just for grins. This is not to be confused with a Boston accent where most of them talk like that.

I also was glad to connect the dots between Danae and Flo, but I still can’t even begin to figure out what the image in the logo is supposed to be. It looks vaguely Danae-ish.

Been sending my spousal unit out for several years now to do this. Doesn’t clear the whole walk, but saves many swings of the shovel! Of course this year, we’re hoping tonight’s “storm” may be the first time to bring the shovels, or spouses, out this “winter”.

I hear music. I envision a Broadway musical. “Menopause: The Superpowered Musical.” I see the cast, headlined by Elaine Stritch.

Originally Joe Pyle, the father, was host of a NPR like radio show based in DC (at least I think it was in DC) so presumably he had worked hard to lose his “Downeaster” accent. The girls having been raised in DC probably would not have a New England accent to begin with. They moved back to Maine after his divorce and disillusionment with main stream media.

I had heard the kids call Flo Gran-ma but thought that was an affectionate name like calling your Mom’s best friend Aunt-So and so.

I’m lucky that I never had any of the oddities that other women have at any age, perhaps because I indulge my desires.
