Funny, but I think there is an issue with light and geometry here. By reflection, he should see danger coming from across the stream, in front of him. But I can see why that would be an awkward way to make the point.

No one believes that. The earth is billions of years old just like the rest of the universe. It is man who was created by God who has been on the earth only 6,000 years and dinosaurs lived on the earth before the ice age.

This is a direct, almost verbatim, rip off of a Far Side comic from a number of years ago. In said comic a car driver’s passenger sideview mirror, with the imprinted statement that “objects in the mirror are closer than they appear”, shows a huge eyeball that fills the mirror’s field of view.

Humans have been pretty much the same for the last 100,000 years, at least. Dinosaurs still have us beat though, the lasted over 250 million years. Unless you count birds, people and dinosaurs never lived at the same time. There is new evidence that Neanderthals and Homo Sapiens lived at the same time…

I love comic license. We ignore the fact that given the position of the object, it’s reflection wouldn’t be visible to the caveman!

Two problems: first, they couldn’t fly (didn’t even have the kind of breastbone wings could attach to), and second, they were herbivores.

roctor: No it isn’t, the Bible doesn’t mention dinosaurs. Pterodactyls weren’t dinosaurs, and were covered by a sort of fur. Many species ate fish,It is one of those cartoon fallacies. Palm trees don’t grow on sand islands only a foot above sea level. Cannibals roast and don’t have iron, much less hot tub caultrons. No record of angry wives using rolling pins. Etc.

Something creationists and evolutionists (I am neither) can think about: The word “day” as used in the Bible refers to various things, not necessarily a 24-hour period. Even in Genesis 1:2 – 2:4, it is used three different ways (as a period of time with beginning and end; as a division in that time; and finally to encompass all of the creative days as one day). The seventh creative day begins, but is never listed as ending. Thousands of years later, Apostle Paul would refer to God’s rest day continuing in his day and into the indefinite future. This means that each creative day could easily be many thousands of years long. It is not necessary for humans and dinosaurs to have lived together in this case.Genesis 1:1 stands apart from all those days. The creative days are from the perspective of someone standing on earth; but Genesis 1:1 is more vast in scope. When did God create the heavens and the earth? “In the beginning.” When that occurred is not stated, but certainly before the six creative days began. The universe is 13 – 15 billion years old, and the earth is 4 billion years old. Apparently, “in the beginning” was that long ago.So, did God create the universe in six 24-hour days 6,000 years ago? No. Does that mean God didn’t create it at all? Equally, no.Scientists will agree that life came into existence in a specific order. The fossil record demonstrates this. So, how did Moses know that order over 3,600 years ago, when he penned Genesis? Only if the Creator told him the order.Thought provoking?

Those style of mirrors are the STUPIDEST mirrors!!! I can’t hardly drive with these. They make no sense whatsoever. For me to get the REAL FEEL for how far away a vehicle is, I have to look out the windows or over my shoulder.
