Farther is for physical distance. Further is for figurative. Wiley used the correct one.

Actually, if Danae were to travel to a ‘forever summer’ time when school is not yet in session, it WOULD benefit people other than herself. Just a few of those who would benefit: the unlucky teacher who would have had Danae in class, and those kids in class who actually want to learn something…
