I’ve read Dante’s “Inferno” maybe fifteen times over the years (and wrote a parody of it with my parody of a hardboiled detective visiting it—he’s the one in my avatar), but only twice each for “Purgatorio” and “Paradiso”—because quite frankly they aren’t one tenth as interesting! For an interesting version of Heaven, try Mark Twain’s “Cap’n Stormfield”…..

We know that Wiley reads the comments on this strip (and occasionally responds to them). I wonder how much of this toon was inspired by his direct personal experience.

IF we all come from God, we are ALL a part of God. We will therefore ALL have to return to God eventually or God will be incomplete.

Wiley does have a twit account. Does this have a personal connection? Inquiring minds want to know.

I thought I knew what being a Christian was about. But it wan’t till years afterward that I realized that a guy who was Part God, How, IDK, but also a man who felt pain like anyone else does, Knew that God had a mission for him.He knew this mission was going to be hard, it was going to hurt like hell, but since he Knew the Mission was from the real deal, God Himself,He Did It..His name has been changed to fit our knowledge, Basically his Name was a version of Joshua, or Yashua, AND he wanted to make sure the people, who have all done bad things, from little stuff on up to murder, lying, misleading people, child abuse, cannibalism, So he let himself be tortured and murdered to take our place so we can be with God.I’ll we have to do is believe that he is who he said he is, did what he said he did, and ask forgiveness for all the bad things we have done, and have him for a friend, a friend that loves us.Is that so hard?Because, If he is Who He said He is, and with the world on it’s way toward an extinction level event,Would you want to bet your life on the question?
