I’m wondering if the last several strips are Willey reflecting on the trouble that came down upon him after the “F…. Trump” doodle was published….thoughts?
Wiley Miller, if your work is any indication you are now and have been for years a better person than most. The removal of your strip was very close to alien abduction. If your rude scribble was really a crime the penalty should have been in the range or a parking ticket.
Like Melville’s Moby Dick, a microcosm of the industrial revolution, Wiley’s Eddie is the metaphor for recovering from the beach debris of destruction and moving forward bit by bit from stranded, to a raft, to a small boat on the way to a trawler. In spite of Eddie’s sabbatical cafe visage, he is rebuilding and restoring remaining true to his path. Ulysses’ odyssey in pen and ink with a faithful cat to seal the endeavour, an Argus for era.
Not sure but I do agree with him. Can’t believe the Olympia Washington paper replaced Non Sequitur with the old Nancy strip. Snowflakes are every where.

I really miss Wiley in the paper. Glad GoComics carries him. Suspend him for a while for lying and now set him back up so I don’t have to use the computer to follow Danae.

From raft to rowboat in one panel, truly amazing.

There was only one tree on that island, so that raft had to come from some place, or somebody, else. Aliens, for example.

Capt. Eddie will go down in history (not the ship) as one of my all time favorite charactahs. Keep on Capt. Eddie, full steam ahead!

So he lost the boat, in the story, and now he has no money. Soooo, still not paying his bar tab.
