Homer should consider himself blessed. First, he exists only on Sunday; never has to worry about Mondays.

Second, he gets almost a whole month off for summer.

I remember when Homer spun off into a separate strip of his own. Weekly, I think it was. And then it went online only before Wiley decided to put it away for a while. If he wants to bring it back in the form of a periodic respite from Danae and company, I say more power to him.

Maybe more time for Wiley bears?

After Doonesbury and then Calvin and Hobbes took a year off (I think) in the 80s, the syndicates started putting one month vacations into cartoonists’ contracts.

Are cartoonists permitted to take vacations? They didn’t use to be.

Have to say it Wiley, why would a group of intelligent women want a boy for their leader?

Granted, it could be to keep the really unintelligent thug men away. So, perhaps it’s an honorary position, more than them actually expecting actual leadership capabilities from him? or maybe it’s out of habit?

Leadership is more about owning the solution, rather than owning the mistake.

Is he going to become their prophet and claim he is married to all of them? :)
