Yup. The handsome prince slowly, or not so slowly, turns back into a toad, and she soon enough reveals herself as being Grendel’s mother. Thus, bound in hellish wedlock, both miserable creatures live hatefully ever after…
While that is true of some or even many men it is not true of all of them. On the other hand when it is shouted out by a very large woman of dubious hygiene who reeks of that and a lot of bad beer spilled badly it would apparently seem to be that “Sows things with you?” is probably why the fight started. That really stopped the pastor mid-sermon though. She surprised us all with the speed of her sharp retort to the drunken parishioner. Funeral services will never seem quite the same again
People prefer fairy tales to reality. It’s not just love and marriage. It’s life. In fairy tales there is always an evil being — a step mother, a king, a dragon — so it is never the main character’s fault (princess or prince or peasant). They are in trouble because the evil being is jealous, craves power, or because they accidentally did something stupid or were in the wrong place at the wrong time. But a super hero will always swoop in to the rescue and they will end up in a better situation than before.
At least their home will be free of flies. NOW., most of the comments from men are blaming this on the Princess, apparently missing the point of the tale is being told by a “Sister”.as opposed to the unrealistic MALE point of view. You doth protest too much. PS Toads and Frogs are 2 different critters.
With my second wife, who was considerably older than I, things would go well for six months, then suddenly everything I did was wrong. She would get over it in a week or so but then the same thing would happen again about six months later. I told her adult daughters about this phenomenon and they burst out laughing. They also assured me she was MUCH better than when she was younger.
Fortunately, I know who I am and simply slept in another room until she would calm down and apologize.
Odd, once upon a time I met a frog, a careful look at him revealed some princely possibilities, but he was still a frog. But then again, I was no princess. I kissed him anyway. Now, 40 years later he’s still a little bit froggy, and I’m still no princess. But dayum, have we ever had a great happily ever after!Happy Valentine’s day.

Happily ever after a dream devoutly to be wished but rarely realized. Life does that.
But, then, my sweet blue-eyed girl and I are on our 60th Valentine’s Day and all the memories are good.
Best wishes to all.

I started swearing to my god and on my mother’s grave
That I would love you to the end of time
I swore that I would love you to the end of time!
So now I’m praying for the end of time
To hurry up and arrive
’Cause if I gotta spend another minute with you
I don’t think that I can really survive
I’ll never break my promise or forget my vow
But God only knows what I can do right now
I’m praying for the end of time
It’s all that I can do
Praying for the end of time,
So I can end my time with you!

I’ve noticed that there’s a direct correlation (usually) between the intensity of the initial attraction to the eventual challenges in a relationship.
