    Sadly, that is about the price of a new textbook. Great if you can buy used. However, my oldest son is taking IT classes, so they are constantly changing the version of software, which requires a new version of the textbook….

    That is the reason I passed on the scholarship I received in high school. Only $500. Would not have gone very far even in 1975!

    When I was taking online classes for my Au.D. (doctor of Audiology) in 2000-2001, I had 1 book that was almost $200.

    My mother was rereading her college letters to her parents, and mentioned how she moaned (in the 60’s) about an $8.50 math textbook. Talk about inflation!!
