We once has a cat that would do that. I woke up one morning with a heavy pressure on my chest. I thought I was having a heart attack, but no, it was the cat sitting on my chest. He weighed 16 pounds.
I have a friend with a daughter. One day the daughter was pestering the dog to no end. The dog finally had enough and sat on her face. I’ve never seen a dog smile before then.
I had a kitten who used to lay across my neck; when she got to be about 3 mos, I had to put my hand in front of it so she had to stop at my chest. She did that for the next 17 years. I still miss her.
