I remember going to a campground with my parents in about 1968. They had a horseshoe pitch. I was a small child and asked my father what the metal pins in the ground were for, and he explained. No one was playing horseshoes. I returned to the same campground in 1976 and the pins were gone; the field had been re-purposed. Do people still play, in these horseless days?
