"Boy, will Violet ever be surprised.." Charlie Brown announces as he walks along. He carries a small gift wrapped box.<br> <br> He adds, "I can hardly wait to see the look on her face.." Lucy turns to look at Charlie Brown as he approaches.<br> <br> "What do you have there, Charlie Brown?" she asks.<br> <br> They face each other: "This is a present for Violet, but I'm sure not going to tell YOU what it is!"<br> <br> Lucy says, "You think I'd tell her, don't you? Oh, I'd NEVER do that..I promise you..I give you my solemn promise!" Sitting on the ground in front, unbeknownst to Charlie Brown, Violet plays in the sand.<br> <br> He glances at the gift: "All right, then I'll let you in on the secret.. it's a little music box.." Lucy turns away and shouts: "HEY VIOLET! HE GOT YOU A MUSIC BOX!!"<br> <br> "AAUGH!" Charlie Brown bangs his head against a tree.<br> <br> "Nature is a fascinating study, Linus..." Lucy remarks to her brother as they walk along.<br> <br> "Now take this tree..see how the bark is damaged? It almost looks like someone has been pounding his head against it..." She points. Charlie Brown sits on the ground, slumped against the other side of the tree.<br> <br> "Most likely, however, it was caused by a bear who merely stopped to sharpen his claws!" Lucy concludes as she walks away. Linus remains looking at the tree trunk. <br> <br> Charlie Brown sighs: "What in the world will she be like when she's a teen-ager?"<br> <br>
