Lucy sits with the bootball. She smiles and calls, "Charlie Brownnn"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown rolls his eyes and says, "Again! I can't believe it!"<BR><BR> Lucy holds the ball and says, "I'll hold the ball, Charlie Bown, and you come running up and kick it.." Charlie Brown stands looking down at her.<BR><BR> Charlie Brown refuses: "Nope, I refuse! You'll pull the ball away, and I'll come crashing down and kill myself!"<BR><BR> Lucy holds up a sheet of paper: "But you can't back out now...the programs have already been printed..." Charlie Brown turns around to look: "Programs?"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown reads: "'At one o'clock Lucille Van Pelt will hold the football and Charles Brown will run up and kick it.'"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown walks, still examining the program. He says, "She's right..if the programs have already been printed, it's too late to back out..."<BR><BR> Charlie Brown runs, frowning in concentration: "This year I'm gonna kick that ball clear out of the universe!"<BR><BR> "AAUGH!" Lucy, smiling, pulls the ball away as Charlie Brown flies into the air.<BR><BR> WHAM! He lands flat on his back. [PANEL 11] Lucy stands over him and explains, "In every program, Charlie Brown, there are always a few last minute changes!"<BR><BR>
You know Shultz was really smart to have this strip happen while the entire throwing the paino down the sewer story is happening if you didn’t have enough reasons to hate Lucifer’s lady already
