I remember this strip from 1965. This was the beginning of the strip’s greatest period.

Lucy, you will have to sneak a little extra fabric softener into the wash. That should take the starch out of that blanket.

I’d say it needs more starch.

That is a very special blanket, but once it is washed it will never be the same. I find this arc very very funny. And I keep egging the blanket on, bad me. Hope it gets her good this time.

Was Charles Schulz a big fan of the Twilight Zone? This blanket plot is reminding me of it.

Amazing this great story arch never got animated. The team that produced Happiness is a Warm Blanket, Charlie Brown, would have a field day…. kinda odd that, given that movie’s title, this story wasn’t part of it.
