Snoopy’s extraordinary imagination keeps him from getting too bored.

CB’s parents didn’t have a vegetable garden. That’s where I spent my summers, alternating with the kitchen, canning and freezing the produce. As my father once said, “Vacation? You EARN a vacation.”

I can.

He sounds eager wanting to go to camp. Didn’t he leave for camp last year, but instead got lost on the city bus for 10 days? I seem to remember something like that.

So instead of trying to earn money this summer, he’s shifted to spending money? His parent’s money I’m sure, but I’d imagine camp isn’t free.

He said “person”, Snoopy…between you not being human and having an active imagination, I’m sure you don’t qualify!

Sally and Snoopy seem to be having no problem with it.

Wow, I forgot this was the beginning of a big story arc. Two story arcs in one. Everyone will have to remember how to spell “Shlabotnik”

With that hat is the camp in France?

My sentiments exactly, Snoopy. Especially if you have earned it by working hard the rest of the year.

That’s what I did most of my Summers

Every time someone complains about it being “a dog’s life” I think of Snoopy and wonder why they’re complaining

Should have told me sooner. The Plan is set.

The kids over at JumpStart are headed to camp today (Robb Armstrong has cited Sparky as an inspiration.) But they don’t get the sailor hats, lol.

Probably not, but you will never really know until you try it at least once…..

Snoopy’s right. Ooh! I just felt a shiver through my spine.

Depends on what you call doing nothing.

A kid actually CAN lie around all Summer, doing nothing. But, the parents may have other thoughts, in mind.

Whether summer vacation is a such a good thing or not for young people remains a tough subject.
