Actually nothing is truly random. Everything that happens is in a rigid chain of causes and effects. All of space-time came into existence at the Big Bang. Defining everywhere, everywhen, everything, and everyone in an instant. You can do nothing to change anything. Every decision you make today is governed mostly by how much sleep you had, and what you ate yesterday. So relax; enjoy the ride.

Everything happens for a reason but sometimes the reason is that you’re an idiot.

It may seem random, but there’s a certain butterfly in Amazonia that keeps flapping a wing.

If you believe God is sovereign over everything, then there is NO CHANCE, no randomness. Your lottery ticket was chosen before you even bought it. Losers, too.

Everything that happens was predetermined at the moment of the Big Bang. Nothing you do changes anything. Give up.

So if I drive my car into a wall, the fact that it smashes was random chance?

Well, that’s a sad reason. I’d rather not have my life decided by a roll of the dice. Monopoly is frustrating enough, I cannot imagine living life like that.

It’s not random. There’s a grand plan. We must breed more life, so the fungus has more dead to feed on.

The otherside of that coin is that there is no coincidence or randomness. Can’t prove either theory conclusivley. However, I opt for that position personally……..

Well, there’s always organized religion. It won’t change anything, but it will give you the illusion that God/the gods has/have a plan for you. I mean, it’s hooey, but it might make you feel better.
