I get frustrated when they ask for a password. YIKES! Then have to do a “reset”. :-( I don’t have a “smartphone”, which seems to confuse them. I have things set up to use my thumbprint. I don’t know why that isn’t sufficient. I went round and round just this morning with the patient portal for one of my doctors. The aggravation is enough to cause high blood pressure.
My grandmother and her sister had different surnames. GM was illegitimate and her sister was born after GGM got married. After looking into it some, there’s a decent chance that GM’s stepfather was also the guy that sired her illegitimately.
I’ll give you my mother’s maiden name, my grandmother’s maiden name, my first pet’s name, the city where I had my first job, and the name of the street I grew up on…..but you will only get me to say my SSN to your face, in your office, with your company name on the door, and under a cone of silence (Get Smart reference for all you seniors out there).
I had my identity stolen a few years ago by someone who used it to buy a house full of furniture. I don’t give out any information unless I called them so I know that I am talking to the right people. Even then, my SS# isn’t available. I still find it on line, though, so it has been given to someone I didn’t authorize by someone that I did trust with it. I am still cleaning up my credit from that episode. It was close to 800 when it happened, and I am in better financial shape then I was then, but it went down into the 600s when it happened, and has still only crawled up into the mid 700s.
The clear sign of the guilty wherein he confesses to everything and anon. Open that jail house door and slam it until he yells out his mother’s maiden name oink, oink, my little piggy says oink, oink.
After the National Public Data breach, everyone’s SSN is now on the dark web. I’ve had it with this crap. From now on I’ll just assume my SSN is public info and act accordingly…
The military went from serial number to social security number some 50+ years ago. We had to memorize it. In training with gas masks and tear gas you had to remove your mask, yell out your SS number before you could leave the tear gassed room. We had to yell out our SS number for many things an thought nothing of it.

I don’t think the characters have last names, especially the animal characters.

If Goat were there, he’d tell Pig that it’s not like a police interrogation.

Surprised that Pig saying God hasn’t triggered a cascade…

I despise those things that want to know your favorite (fill in the blank).
Two years later, I’m trying to remember what my favorite things used to be.

My Mom had a very German maiden name that no one could spell if they didn’t know it already.
Dianne50 about 12 hours ago
I served in the US Army during the years they were using SS as serial numbers. Everyone I ever served with has my number — if they can remember it.
