Phoebe and Her Unicorn by Dana Simpson for August 14, 2016
Transcript:
"My unicorn in summer takes me everywhere I go The normal places, plus the ones a unicorn would know. I'll pack a lunch, 'cause I have taste that's pickier than she She'll forage in the forest greens, with salt (to taste) from me. My unicorn in summer runs like lightning down the shore And even when it wears her out, I laugh and beg for more. For nothing beats a day spent with my bestie in the sun (And not to mention going fast is tons and tons of fun!) The days are long, but night must come and usher me to bed My friend will offer me her mane to rest my weary head. Her hoofbeats are the lullabye that carries me to when My unicorn and I are gonna do it all again.
