An unexpected twist; the dragon wants Phoebe to stop hanging out with Marigold because they think Marigold is the problem. Intriguing.

Knowing these magical creatures, I’m sure there’s some missing context to this that would make this claim seem a bit more mundane, or at least not as it seems.

Why do I imagine this duck-dragon having a Daffy Duck voice and impediment? Also, I have a feeling that this might be a sham so that this duck-dragon might get Phoebe out of the way once he fully convinces her to stop hanging out with Marigold.
