I LOVE every single comic with kid Marigold. Her pigtails are soooo cute.

Well, we know it was some point when unicorns had access to glasses and simple hairstyling items. How far back is that again?

Every thing else Marigold heard if not ignoring, came off like a Peanuts adult.

So what you’re saying is you’re a “day” Marigold?

Hard to have a non-narcissistic conversation with a narcissistic unicorn, is it not?

Sad that a self-centered ego can make such a beautiful creature act so ugly.

Good Morning Folks, I’m new here. I’ve been doing an archive dive over the past couple weeks. (I’m only up to 2019 at the moment). Just wanted to drop in, pay my respects to the cartoonist and offer up a small observation.

I’m afraid it’s not about today’s strip but one from a while back, about Tod the Candy dragon. One Halloween, a while back, Phoebe was asking him to cough up the candy without much thought as to Tod as a person. Then she found out that Tod has a life beyond coughing up candy for her.

No offense to those present, but that’s how a lot of readers view cartoonists. Sometimes it’s like people think that these cartoons just appear out of their computers. A bunch of pixels dance across the screen, people are amused and the comments are like… "You forgot to put in a question mark in panel 1. Or, “how come that Phoebe’s shoes are not colored?” All without much thought for the cartoonist who, in the hard work of writing, editing laying out, sketching, inking, scanning, lettering, coloring, finalizing and posting the cartoons.

Now, I’m not saying that there’s a vinyl LP out there by “Dana and the Rars” but you might wanna give it some thought.

So, tomorrow, on Thanksgiving, you may want to give some thanks to the cartoonist.

I’m sorry Marigold, but I agreed with Florence.

I guess Marigold was always true to herself.

…yeah, I can see why that might have started to grate on Florence after awhile. And considering how long unicorns live…

Florence must’ve started sneezing spiders just to keep Mari away. Self-centred people (and unicorns) lead a lonely life! :D

Yeah, apparently, “Humility” is not in Marigold’s vocabulary.

Either the colorist made a mistake in the third panel, or Marigold was experimenting with blonde highlights in her youth.

I am starting to see the problem.
