Properly speaking, the prefix “were-” means “man” (as in human, not necessarily adult male). It’s the same thing with the “anthropos” part of “lycanthrope”.
Sunday June 19th! Today I awoke to find my lavender unciorn balloon floating at eye-level. She is losing her lift… SO… thinking quickly, I used my sharp scissors to snip off the ribbon she has been trailing for the last ten days. Quick as a wink, she drifted happily back up to the ceiling! The Unicorn STILL FLIES!! However, I do believe she is aging gracefully. Tomorrow she may again be at eye level or nestled comfortably on top of my shelf. LONG LIVE THE UNICORN BALLOON!!

If it turned out Marigold was secretly a cursed human all along, that would’ve been the best plot twist in history.

You think that’s dangerous, try the blood moon from Zelda: Breath of the wild!

I’m glad Simpson’s muse is still operative… And weird.

As a teen, I got the idea of a were-self, who doesn’t change shape but experiences pain and turns savage under the moon.

I imagine at some point Phoebe will be turned into a unicorn, either by choice or because of some botched spell.

A were-unicorn is still not as scary as a vampire unicorn who sleeps all day, then stalks the night, feeding on the oats of the living!
