I’ll bet those things are harder to scrape off the bottom of your shoes (or hooves) than chewing gum. So yes — evil.

Marigold stepped on them to rescue Phoebe. Turning an evil deed into a good one. Thwarting evil from turning Phoebe to the Shady Side. The aren’t allowed onto the Dark Side yet.

Good always triumphs when evil is squished.

Those little guys were reminding me of Gachnar the [tiny] fear demon in “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and now they really remind me.

Yup, stomping on evil is good. Even if it’s small and almost cute evil. However, Phoebe is right, when evil asks to be stomped on, then you shouldn’t give in to it.

And I’m betting Marigold didn’t even realize what she’s done here. :P
