Oh what’s the big deal? Take him to the barber, get the rest whacked off and let it grow back over the next couple of weeks. The real problem is, Nelson’s gum just ruined Grandpa’s clippers!
Earl/grandpa you just as well fix the rest of problem but prepare daughter she’s in for a shock.
Reminds me of what my son did with a razer when he cut his own hair when he was very young. And no he didn’t get a spaken for it had to get all of it off. I told him he didn’t look good that way. I didn’t want to shave him as not to hurt his scalpe.
Fifty seven years ago my Father-in-law took our 7 month old son to show off to his relatives on our first visit to see them. Baby had thick soft golden red hair, curling slightly around his head. When he brought him back, the relatives had given him a hair cut, not a buzz, but a “regular boy” cut. As you can tell, I’m still not over it.
Is there a child anywhere who hasn’t had gum in their hair and/or cut it themselves? My neighbor’s daughter cut my daughter’s hair. I had just discovered that her hair was not just tucked in her collar when the phone rang. My neigbor had found the shorn hair in her basement next to the scissors. She apologized, but it was no big deal. I took my daughter to the salon and had it evened up and it was fine.

Well if he had bubble gum in his hair then this cut was well deserved and maybe even necessary.
