Well, I’ m 71, male, recently widowed, and I could do all three of those before I was married …. so there. Oh and bye the bye, I can still do them, but mostly don’t — because i’m a LAZY SOB and can get most of it done with a microwave.
I’m 71, female, and I sewed clothes for the children and canned vegetables from the garden many years ago. Now i live in a condo, shop for clothes online. Even the grandchildren are grown and buy their own clothes. I still cook, mostly from scratch.
Ah, but it was Earl’s generation that made the first computers, turned Orville Wright’s plane into fighters for two world wars, and invented windshield wipers. (That was a woman, BTW.)
BTW — “Air Conditioning” in the ’36 Plymouth consisted of a little crank under the wind shield. On a warm day, just turn the crank until you get the desired amount of wind in your face!
How much from scratch is cooking from scratch? I dont slaughter my meat or grow my veggies (not usually). But I cook from raw meat and potatoes and other things.

Well I can do one out of 3 and as far as I’m concerned it’s the most important one.

I used to sew and I’ve done some preserving. I still enjoy making freezer jam, I do most of my cooking from scratch.
